Spikelets 4–6 mm long, obtuse to acute. Racemes up to 3 cm long. Erect or ascending perennial, with a short rhizome. Culms rigid, up to c. 80 cm high. Coast. Damp areas on sandy soils. Fl. summer Entolasia whiteana
