Secondary rhachises, costae, costules and minor veinlets clothed often rather sparsely with stiff, acute, non-glandular, septate hairs. Main rhachis yellowish white or straw yellow or red-brown or light to dark brown, smooth or with scattered brown or orange-brown tubercles, usually almost glabrous. Rhizome 1–3 mm diam.
