Petaloid staminodes pink, c. 6 mm long. Leaves glaucous, up to 15 mm long. Pedicels 0.5–1 cm long. Prostrate plant with thin woody stems rooting at the nodes, often forming dense mats. Salt marshes on Parramatta and Lane Cove Rivers. Probably introd. from S. Africa Lampranthus tegens
