Monoecious tree. Leaves alternate, entire or lobed, 10–20 mm long, 8–15 mm wide; two glands at apex of petiole. Flowers in terminal; panicles; male and female flowers mixed. Petals 8 mm long, white, turning red when dry. Fruit drupaceous, ridged, 5–6 cm diam. with 1 or 2 seeds. Garden escape. Native to N. Qld. Candle-nut Tree
