Erect, bushy shrub up to 3 m high. Leaves in whorls of 3–6, lanceolate to ovate, 1–6 cm long, 4–30 mm wide, with an acute or acuminate spiny tip, glossy, slightly recurved. Corolla tube 5–7 mm long. Anthers orange. Coast north of Wollongong. RF and WSF. Fl. spring–summer
