Twiner. Leaves oblong, acuminate, entire, glaucous on the upper surface, grey or whitish underneath, up to 8 cm long, 2–5 cm wide, on short petioles. Flowers several in a cyme on a short peduncle arising beside the petiole. Calyx lobes spreading. Fruit a pear-shaped follicle, at first green and fleshy, 5–8 cm long. Seeds with a long silky coma.
