Shrubs 1–2 m high. Leaves alternate, petiolate. Heads in a terminal corymb. Involucre campanulate, 9–10 mm diam. Ray florets 5–13; rays yellow, 9–10 mm long. Disc florets tubular. Cypselas of the ray ovoid to globular, 6–8 mm diam., purplish black, with a hard bony endocarp. Pappus absent.
