Annual herbs. Leaves basal and cauline, alternate. Heads in corymbs or panicles. Involucre ovoid to hemispherical; bracts numerous, nearly equal, imbricate in several rows. Florets ligulate and tubular or filiform and tubular. Cypselas flattened; the margins thickened. Pappus of numerous capillary, nearly equal hairs.
