Flowers almost sessile, in a dense terminal head with up to 9 flowers. Leaves 5–15 mm long, scabrous. Young branches and buds densely pubescent with whitish hairs. Calyx 5–6 mm long; lobes almost equal, nearly as long as the tube. Erect shrub 30–100 cm high. Higher Blue Mts DSF. Fl. spring–summer
