Leaves branches and calyx usually scabrous with short rigid hairs. Leaves 3–8 mm long. Inflorescence sessile or sometimes pedunculate, mostly at the ends of the branches. Corolla orange-yellow with a darker centre. Prostrate to erect shrub up to 1.5 m high. Higher Blue Mts and adjacent valleys. DSF and heath. Fl. spring–summer
