10 species endemic Aust.; all states and territories except Tas.

Annual or perennial aromatic herb with glandular hairs. Leaves alternate, simple, entire or dissected. Flowers unisexual and bisexual, mixed, clustered in the leaf axils (Fig. 34). Perianth segments 1–4, often inflated or spongy. Stamens and styles 1–2. Pericarp thin.
