Glabrous tree. Leaves opposite or nearly so, dark green on both surfaces, shining above, ovate, 5–8 cm long, acuminate, entire, penniveined; stipules minute, scarious. Flowers in terminal or axillary cymes or panicles. Calyx lobes 1–2 mm long, almost petaloid. Fruit drupaceous, orange-yellow, globular, 4–6 mm diam. In or near RF. Coast e.g., Royal National Park; lower Blue Mts, e.g. Kurrajong. Fl. spring. Yellow Ash
