Old stems smooth or nearly so, glabrous or pubescent with spreading hairs. Buds ridged. Standard 10–15 mm long. Ovules 12–20. Leaflets linear to narrow-obovate, less than 10 mm long. Diffuse shrub 10–30 cm high. Widespread. In a variety of open situations. Fl. spring
