Small shrub up to 60 cm high, scabrous, with appressed hairs. Leaves elliptic to oblanceolate, 5–15 mm wide, dentate, tapering into a petiole. Flowers pedicellate in irregular cymes. Stamens forming a cone around the style, with terminal appendages. Corolla deep blue, c. 8 mm diam. Ovary entire, with a terminal style. Coast and adjacent plateaus. DSF. Fl. summer
