Annual or perennial herb or shrub. Hairs 2-branched sometimes multicellular. Leaves alternate, pinnate; leaflets numerous. Inflorescence an axillary raceme. Corolla white, pink or purple. Stamens connate with the upper one free. Ovules 1, 2 or numerous. Legume narrow-cylindrical.
