Leaves greyish-green on both surfaces; the lower surface indistinctly nerved; tapering gradually into the petiole, oblanceolate to obovate or elliptic, 10–20 mm long, 2–4 mm wide, mostly erect or nearly so, convex at least at the base. Slender, erect, straggling shrub up to 2 m high. Widespread. Heath and DSF. Sandy soils. Fl. spring
