Flowers 1–4 in the leaf axils on a peduncle 1–8 mm long. Corolla tube shorter than the sepals; the lobes as long as the tube. Leaves linear-lanceolate, 8–12 mm long, 2–4 mm wide, acuminate, with a pungent hyaline tip; margins recurved or flat. Spreading shrub up to 2 m high. Widespread. DSF. Sandy soils. Fl. spring
