Corolla yellow, c. 15 mm long. Leaflets oblanceolate to oblong, 3–6 mm long, villous. Fruit black, villous. Seeds dull black with whitish markings. Ascending, annual herb. Naturalized in various places particularly near the coast. Introd. from the Mediterranean. Fl. spring–summer.
