Petioles and peduncles densely clothed in white hairs. Petals dark red c. 10 mm long. Leaves 7.5–12.5 mm long, 2.5–5.5 cm wide, elliptic to obovate. Fruit 3-valved, pubescent. Shrub to 4 m tall. Blue Mts Introd. from New Zealand
