Upper surface of leaves hispid with simple hairs; lower surface rusty tomentose with some conspicuous brown stellate hairs. Leaves ovate to oblong, mostly 2–4 cm long, wrinkled. Flowers in terminal panicles. Floral tube and sepals villous, together c. 3 mm long. Young branches rusty tomentose. Shrub up to 2 m high. Cumberland Plain near Parramatta and Bankstown; Blue Mts, e.g Mt Caley. Open forest
