Sprawling, usually ± spiny shrubs. Leaves simple, entire or serrate, obtuse with a minute mucro. Flowers in condensed corymbs. Sepals 5. Petals 5. Ovary inferior, 5-locular; styles 5, free. Fruit a pome, orange, usually with 5 bony carpels.
