Woody climber. Leaves broad-ovate, deeply cordate at the base, acuminate, rarely slightly peltate, glabrous, mostly 5–10 cm wide. Flowers in simple racemes. Sepals 2–5, small. Petals 3–6, thick, gland-like. Stamens connate into a column. Carpels 3–6. Fruit a flattened drupe, 6–8 mm diam. In or near RF. Widespread. Pearl Vine
