Succulent, glabrous, decumbent, perennial herb rooting at the nodes. Leaves opposite, linear to lanceolate, up to 7 cm long. Flowers solitary in leaf axils. Perianth 6–9 mm long, 5-lobed, pink with scarious margins, Stamens numerous. Ovary superior, 3-locular; styles 3. Capsule circumscissile. Coastal dunes and beaches in north of area. Fl. spring–summer
