Small shrubs with stellate hairs. Stipules subulate, caducous. Flowers on axillary peduncles (when the peduncles are 1-flowered they are often bent a short distance below the flower) Epicalyx absent. Petals yellow or orange. Ovary 5-locular. Fruit a schizocarp.
