Multistemmed undershrub up to 60 cm high, with a thick rootstock. Leaves linear to narrow-elliptic or lanceolate, up to 4 cm long, glabrous, concave or flat. Calyx almost equally 4-lobed. Standard up to 1 cm long, yellow to reddish-brown. Legume biconvex with hard leathery valves. Glen Davis. Open forest. Fl. spring
