Perennial aquatic usually stoloniferous herbs with emergent leaves. Leaves basal or alternate, on long petioles, ovate to reniform or orbicular, entire or nearly so. Flowers in cymo-panicles. Corolla yellow; lobes spreading, copiously bearded or fringed inside at the base. Ovary half-inferior or almost superior. Capsule 4-valved.
