Stipules fimbriate, fused to petiole at base. Leaves 10–45 mm long. Petals violet, 1–1.4 cm long, lower petal with a notched spur c. 5 mm long. Naturalized in the Katoomba and Mt Wilson area. Fl. summer. Introd. from Europe and Africa. Common Dog-violet
