Viola silicestris
Mature leaves twice as wide as long or wider. Leaf lamina broad often flat topped, finely toothed; 4–15 mm long. Flowers with a narrow oblong anterior petal with small green patch at base, middle section whitish, apex pale violet; 6–7 mm long. Lateral petals with beard present or absent. Stems contracted into rosette or elongated and scrambling. Scattered on sandy soils in seasonally moist areas. Ss. Blue Mts Fl. spring–summer
