Racemes 1–2-jointed (rarely 3). Lower glume of the sessile spikelet 6-nerved including 2 on the keel, prominently concave. Panicle very narrow-ovate to oblong, 8–25 cm long. Erect, tufted annual up to 1.5 m high. Coast. Uncommon. Open forests and woodlands. Fl. summer Capillipedium parviflorum
