Leaves viscid and minutely scabrous, narrow, linear to elliptic, 3–9 cm long. Involucre 20–30 mm diam.; bracts bright yellow to brownish. Cypselas glabrous, c. 2 mm long. Annual or short-lived viscid perennial herb up to 1 m high. Widespread. Open forests. Usually on sandy soils. Fl. spring Xerochrysum viscosum
