Alisma plantago-aquatica
Erect, aquatic herb with a perennial rootstock, Leaves basal, oblong to cordate-ovate, 7–15 cm long, 5–9-veined, on long petioles. Flowers bisexual, c. 5 mm diam., in a large loose erect panicle up to 150 cm high with whorled branches and pedicels. Corolla white or pinkish. Carpels very small, c. 20, rounded on the back and summit. Coast and Cumberland Plain. Along watercourses and on margins of pools. Fl. summer. Cosmop.. Water Plantain
