Lateral lobes of the lemma with membranous lateral margins ending abruptly in small triangular points. Spikelets with 4–6 flowers. Glumes 9–16 mm long. Panicles c. 4 cm long. Leaf blades filiform, inrolled. Tufted perennial up to 50 cm high. Colo Vale. Open forest. Fl. spring–summer
