Perennial or deciduous herbs with underground bulb. Leaves usually basal, linear to broad linear. Inflorescence a cymose umbel. Flowers pedicellate or sessile, with 6 perianth segments variously connate. Stamens 6. Style filiform. Ovary inferior, 3-locular. Fruit globular, indehiscent.
