Adult leaves similar on both surfaces, thick, glossy, often mucronate, 8–12 x 2.5–4 cm. Juvenile leaves cordate to orbicular. Mallee or small tree up to 8m high. Bark scaly-fibrous throughout. Umbels 7–15-flowered; peduncles angular-terete, up to 7 mm long, often obscured by the fruits when these are mature. Operculum hemispherical to conical, blunt, usually 2-angled, ± asymmetrical. Fruit sessile, hemipherical, 4–5 x 8–9 mm; disc thick, convex; valves usually enclosed. Royal Nat. Park to Gosford. DSF on laterite. Uncommon. Vulnerable. Fl. summer. Heart-leaved Stringybark
