Bark yellowish, particularly under the rough fibrous bark on the trunk. Tree up to 20 m high, usually with a short bole and spreading branches. Leaves green or glaucous, 7–15 x 1–2.5 cm. Operculum hemispherical to conical, slightly shorter than the floral tube. Anthers cuboid with terminal pores. Western parts of the area; Kurrajong. Forests on clay soils. Fl. spring–summer.
