Operculum conical, sharply pointed, c. as long as the floral tube. Tree up to 35 m high; trunk straight, often with loose ribbons of bark. Leaves 10–13 x 2–5 cm. Fruit pyriform to ovoid-truncate, 6–10 mm diam.; pedicel shorter than the fruit; disc c. 2 mm wide, domed or flat. Higher Blue Mts Ss. WSF on valley sides and cliffs. Fl. summer. White Ash
