rubidaJuvenile and sucker leaves grey or bluish. Buds and fresh fruits usually glaucous. Tree up to c. 30 m high. Bark smooth except near the base, whitish, blotched with pink or red. Adult leaves 10–25 x 2–3.5 cm. Lateral veins irregular; angle 30–50°. Peduncles almost terete, 5–10 mm long. Operculum conical, acute to obtuse, as long as or shorter than the floral tube. Fruit ovoid or ovoid-truncate, 5–6 x 6–7 mm, sessile or very shortly pedicellate; disc broad, domed; valves exserted. Higher Blue Mts; Megalong and Kanimbla Valleys. Fl. summer. Candle-bark Gum
