Umbels 7-flowered. Fruit 5–9 mm diam., pedicellate. Juvenile leaves elliptic to broad-lanceolate, 6–16 x 5–6 cm. Adult leaves 10–20 x 1.5–2.5 cm. Tree up to 40 m high. Bark bluish, usually blotched, with some deciduous ribbons. Widespread along the coast, Cumberland Plain; valleys of Blue Mts Usually open forests on fertile soils. (Plate 00) Forest Red Gum
