Korthalsella rubra (Tiegh.) Engl.rubra

Epiphytic parasite with opposite articulate green flattened branches 3–9 mm wide, and reduced leaves. Flowers minute, green or yellowish, clustered at the nodes, both sexes in the same cluster. Perianth lobes 3, persistent, crowning the very small globular berry. Hosts: Doryphora sassafras and other RF and WSF trees. Blue Mts; Illawarra. Fl. spring
