Central awn more than 2 mm long, reflexed or twisted at the base; lobes of the lemma half as long as the body of the lemma. Spikelets 6–10 mm long, mostly with 3 florets. Erect, tufted perennial up to 60 cm high. Panicle up to 20 cm long, ovate to broad-pyramidal. Blue Mts; Woronora Plateau. Fl. summer.
