Leaves crowded, narrow-oblong to slightly cuneate, silky hairy to glabrous underneath, up to 12 mm long. Flowers in dense terminal heads, sessile within the last leaves. Bracteoles attached at base of calyx c. 7 mm long, with 2 broad stipules, but not divided to the base. Stipules 4–5 mm long. Erect to prostrate shrub up to 1 m high.
