Prostrate herbs. Leaves lanceolate to elliptic, sessile or shortly petiolate; stipules sheathing, with terete bristles. Inflorescence terminal, dense, surrounded by 2 or 4 leaves. Flowers small, sessile. Calyx lobes 4–6. Corolla white, 3–6-lobed. Ovary usually 3–4-locular. Fruit separating into 1-seeded mericarps.
