Leaves never dissected, margins entire or with scattered teeth; narrow-oblanceolate to linear, 5–10 mm long; both surfaces scabrous, lower surface purplish. Heads 20–60 in terminal corymbs. Involucre 1–1.5 mm diam., bracts 7–13. Florets 12–25. Fruiting head 1.5 mm diam., involucre bracts usually reflexed. Cypsela 2–2.5 mm long. Pappus 5–6 mm long. Erect herb to 50 cm high. DSF. South of Sydney. Fl. spring–summer
