Leaves undivided, attenuate, up to 5 cm long; very fleshy, drying thick; 0-15 small teeth per side. Inflorescence with 1–5 heads. Heads 6–10 mm long. Rays 10–20 mm long. Cypsela 4–6 mm long, 0.5–0.7 mm diam. Pappus 5–7 mm long, persistent. Coastal sand dunes. Endangered. Fl. most of the year
