Weak shrubs or trailing or twining perennials. Leaves 3-foliolate or simple; stipules membranous, striate. Flowers small, usually in terminal racemes. Corolla pink or purple to blue or white. Stamens all united or upper one free. Fruit deeply indented on lower side, separating into 1-seeded articles, pubescent, with short appressed hairs.
