Leaves obtuse, obovate to elliptic, scarcely convex. Flowers 8–10 mm diam. Floral tube tapering towards the base. Capsule c. 6 mm diam. Sepals membranous, deciduous. Erect shrub up to 3 m high, with hard bark. Blue Mts Wet places. Fl. summer
